About this role
What you’ll do @Omnisend:
- Own significant reporting capabilities from discovery through production operation.
- Shape technical and product decisions together with product and design partners.
- Design scalable services and data flows with clear reliability and observability expectations.
- Lead technical problem-solving across service boundaries.
- Improve engineering practices through reviews, design discussions, and knowledge sharing.
- Support other engineers without making formal people management part of the role.
We expect that you’ll bring:
Core experience:
- 5+ years building production backend systems.
- Strong experience in Go or another backend language, with an interest in adopting Go.
- Experience designing APIs and data-intensive services.
- Understanding of distributed systems, asynchronous processing, and event-driven architecture.
- Experience operating services in a cloud environment.
- Strong testing, debugging, and production ownership practices.
Useful, but not required:
- GCP.
- Real-time data pipelines.
- Analytics or reporting products.
- React or another modern frontend framework.
- ML, AI, or LLM-powered product development.
