SUMMARY:

The Estimating Manager   is responsible for   leading the overall management of the bid process for a project. The role   is responsible for   understanding the deliverables, developing a work plan, and   identifying   resources   required , while coordinating with   internal   team s   to ensure compliance with the Request for Proposals (RFP).

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, architecture or related field ,   or equivalent   relevant   experience

- At least   five   (5) years’ experience in estimating for commercial construction

- Experience leading bids and trade coordination

- Knowledge of principles and practices of engineering and construction management, including safety, quality,   constructability   and sustainability standards

- Leadership level communication and organization skills

TECHNICAL JOB KNOWLEDGE:

- Leads bid / GMP assembly with minimal guidance ;   m anages all bid day activities including compiling all deliverables and   submitting   response s

- Prepares detailed estimates at all phases of design ;   proficient in divisions 3 – 16 (including division 2 for Base Building)

- Manages all bid day activities including compiling all deliverables and   submitting   response s

- Leads and coordinates scope writing and qualification development ;   m anages and coordinates divisions 2, 15, 16

- Leads constructability reviews ;   l eads the development of specific systems analyses and creation of Value Engineering and Alternates lists / logs

- Assists   with strategy development for GMP’s and competitive bids

- Participates in project meetings and client presentations ;   a ttends pre-bid meetings and lead trade partner walk-throughs;   l eads bid presentations

- Owns responsibility for   overall for trade partners / supplier coverage and effective communication and management ;   i dentifies   and aligns the most qualified trade partners for the market sector and scope

- Manages the overall document distribution process (RFI’s, Addenda, etc.)

- Counsels,   educates   and coaches staff to help them develop necessary job skills

- Builds relationships with trade partners / suppliers,   clients   and design teams

T he base salary (or hourly) range for this position is
$105,000.00 - $135,000.00
