The Family Wellness Child Watch Caregiver provides care for infants to 10 year olds in a drop-in childcare environment. This job is located at Family Wellness at 2700 46th Ave SE in Mandan.
- Be a role model
- Assure that children receive safe playtime, snacks, learning activities, diaper changing, and bathroom breaks
- Use appropriate disciplinary methods
- Observe children and communicate appropriately with parents
- Help maintain a clean, safe environment by completing cleaning duties as assigned.
- Attend and be an active participant at staff meetings
Part Time, Up to 29 Hours Per Week:
- Tuesday & Thursday, 9:30 am-11:30 am
- Saturday, 8:55 am-Noon
Opportunities Also Available to Pick Up Additional Shifts on a Substitute Basis
Qualifications
We are looking for someone who displays the values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility. Previous experience working in a childcare or children's program preferred. Must have the ability to handle competing demands and effectively communicate and build relationships with parents. This job is open to candidates ages 14 and older.
Child Watch is a drop-in childcare program that provides members a safe, fun and supervised place for their children while they utilize the facility.
The Missouri Valley Family YMCA has more than 22,000 members, serving 1 in 5 households in the Bismarck-Mandan community. The Family Wellness location opened in Mandan near Raging Rivers Waterpark in January 2017.
