Are you friendly, dependable, and passionate about providing exceptional customer service? Peter Becker Community is seeking a Full-Time Cashier to join our Dining Services team. In this role, you'll be an important part of creating a warm, welcoming dining experience for our residents, guests, and staff while supporting our mission of providing exceptional service and care.

What You'll Do

As a Cashier, you will serve as a key point of contact in our dining venues, helping ensure smooth daily operations and outstanding customer service. Responsibilities include:

- Accurately taking and entering food and beverage orders using our point-of-sale (POS) system

- Recording resident meal plans, guest meals, and special charges

- Greeting residents, guests, and team members with professionalism and courtesy

- Processing cash, credit card, and other payment transactions

- Balancing cash drawers and reconciling receipts at the end of each shift

- Assisting residents and guests with questions and resolving concerns

- Maintaining a clean, organized, and sanitary cashier and dining area

- Supporting meal service, beverage stations, and other dining service functions as needed

- Restocking supplies and assisting with inventory monitoring

- Collaborating with dining team members to create an enjoyable dining experience

- Following all health, sanitation, safety, and organizational policies

What We're Looking For

- High school diploma or GED preferred

- Previous cashier, customer service, food service, or senior living experience preferred

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to handle transactions accurately and responsibly

- Dependable, detail-oriented, and team-focused

- Commitment to providing excellent service to residents and guests

Physical Requirements

- Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the workday

- Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, push, and pull as needed

- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

- Ability to work in dining, kitchen, and storage environments with varying temperatures

- Ability to assist during emergency situations when required
