About this role

Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly experienced and dependable Tow Motor Operator to join our team. This position will primarily be responsible for safe and efficient material movement throughout our operations, while also serving as a trained backup to the Shipping Coordinator.

Key Responsibilities (including but not limited to):

- Manage incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

- Receive, inspect, and record incoming materials and products.

- Prepare shipments by assembling, packing, and labeling items appropriately.

- Coordinate with carriers and freight companies to schedule pickups and deliveries.

- Maintain accurate inventory records and reconcile discrepancies as needed.

- Collaborate with production and warehouse teams to ensure smooth operations.

- Adhere to safety protocols and regulations at all times.

- Keep work area clean and organized to facilitate efficient workflow.

- Assist in other warehouse tasks as assigned by the supervisor

- Notify appropriate departments of outgoing shipments

- Maintain inventory of shipping materials

- Operate forklift and pallet jack

Qualifications

What we need you to have:

- Extensive prior tow motor/forklift operating experience required

- Demonstrated ability to safely handle materials in a manufacturing, warehouse, or industrial environment

- Strong understanding of safe loading, unloading, staging, and material-handling practices

- Ability to obtain and maintain company-required forklift/tow motor certification

- Ability and willingness to learn shipping and logistics responsibilities

- Ability to operate a company box truck, or willingness to become qualified to do so

- Strong attention to detail and accuracy

- Dependable attendance and a strong work ethic

- Ability to work independently while also supporting production and shipping teams

- Ability to prioritize and adjust responsibilities based on changing operational needs

- Good communication and organizational skills

- Ability to work effectively across both Beachwood facilities

- Ability to safely operate a tow motor for extended periods

- Ability to routinely sit, stand, walk, bend, reach, and maneuver throughout a manufacturing/warehouse environment

- Ability to lift and move materials as required within the limitations of the position and applicable safety procedures

- Ability to work in an industrial environment and wear required personal protective equipment

Additional Information:

- Travel Requirements – 5 - 10% travel
