About this role
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Restaurant Manager to oversee daily operations, lead a team, and ensure the delivery of exceptional food and beverage service. The ideal candidate is passionate about hospitality, has strong leadership skills, and is capable of managing both the front-of-house and bar operations efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operational Management:
Oversee the day-to-day operations of the restaurant and bar.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations.
- Maintain high standards of food, beverage, and service quality.
- Staff Management:
Recruit, train, and supervise front-of-house and bar staff.
- Create staff schedules and manage labor costs.
- Conduct performance reviews and promote team morale.
- Customer Service:
Ensure an excellent guest experience through attentive service and a welcoming environment.
- Handle customer complaints and resolve issues promptly and professionally.
- Inventory & Cost Control:
Manage inventory levels of food, beverages, and supplies.
- Control costs and minimize waste to meet profitability targets.
- Coordinate with suppliers and negotiate pricing when needed.
- Financial & Administrative Duties:
Monitor daily revenue and expenses.
- Prepare sales and performance reports.
- Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and meeting financial goals.
- Entertainment & Ambience Oversight:
Possess a good understanding of music trends, popular international artists and different entertainment genres suitable for diverse guest demographics.
- Work closely with resident live performers to schedule acts that align with the venue’s brand and target audience.
- Monitor and evaluate guest feedback related to entertainment and adjust programming accordingly.
- Ensure all entertainment activities comply with licensing and local authority regulations.
- Marketing & Promotion:
Collaborate with marketing to develop promotions and events.
- Monitor online reviews and social media presence.
Requirements
- Experience:
Proven experience as a restaurant or bar manager (3+ years preferred).
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Knowledge of food and beverage operations, POS systems, and inventory management.
- Familiarity with licensing laws, health and safety regulations.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including late nights and weekends.
- Preferred Qualifications:
o Certification in Hospitality Management or related field.
o WSET Beverage Service Certification.
o Experience with event planning or private dining services.
