Material Handler

Van-Am Tool & Engineering is a custom manufacturer in St. Joseph, MO. As we continue to grow, we are seeking dedicated and skilled CDL Drivers - Materials Handlers to join our team.

As a Material Handler , you will be responsible for efficiently and safely preparing materials, equipment and various products for delivery, while also assisting with inventory management tasks within our facility. This role requires a strong attention to detail, a commitment to safety, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Four Day Work Week: 5:00AM – 3:30PM, M-Th
Three Day Work Week: 5:00AM - 5:30PM, F-Su (11% Shift Differential)

Material Handler Key Responsibilities:

- Load and unload materials from vehicles, ensuring proper handling and secure transportation.

- Perform material handling tasks, including organizing, labeling, and maintaining inventory.

- Communicate effectively with coworkers, and clients to ensure smooth operations.

- Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines, promoting a culture of safety within the team.

- Maintain a clean and organized work environment in the warehouse.

Material Handler:

- At least two years of experience as a Material Handler in a manufacturing environment.

- High school diploma or equivalent.

- Ability to safely and efficiently operate various types of forklifts.

- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

- Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in all tasks.

- Physical stamina and the ability to lift and carry heavy objects.

- Basic computer skills for documentation and communication purposes.
