Workplace Platform   team

The   Workplace Platform   Team   act as a key technology partner for Microsoft 365 collaboration capabilities, productivity platforms, governance,   adoption   and secure digital solutions across the organisation :

- Lead and support Microsoft 365 collaboration, productivity,   automation   and employee experience use cases.

- Partner with IT product owners and platform teams to ensure standards are followed across Microsoft 365, Power Platform, Copilot, security,   compliance   and collaboration platforms.

- Support innovation, adoption and governance across Microsoft 365, Power Platform and Copilot capabilities.

- Maintain strong relationships with business stakeholders, IT architecture, security, service operations,   vendors   and Microsoft 365 delivery teams.

The Role

Reporting to the   Head of IT - Workplace , you   will provide hands-on architecture   and engineering   support   across   M365   services ,   including   Exchange Online and Azure Virtual Desktop.   The role will shape the design, governance, integration,   automation, operational support and continuous improvement of enterprise messaging and virtual desktop platforms used across Dyson.

The successful candidate will be a senior technical specialist   with deep Exchange Online capability, strong Azure Virtual Desktop engineering experience   and   practical Azure governance knowledge. You will   translate business   and operational   requirements into secure,   scalable   and supportable   designs, working closely with architects, security, identity, network, EUC, service operations and vendor teams.

About you

- 10 + years of experience across Microsoft 365, digital workplace, collaboration platforms, application   architecture   or enterprise IT solutions.

- Deep hands-on experience administering Exchange Online, including mailbox and recipient management, distribution groups, shared mailboxes, mail flow, transport rules, accepted domains,   connectors   and message trace.

- Strong understanding of Exchange Online Protection, Defender for Office 365 integration, anti-spam, anti-phishing, DKIM, SPF, DMARC, quarantine, safe/blocked sender   controls   and secure mail routing patterns.

- Proven Azure Virtual Desktop experience, including host pool architecture, pooled and personal desktops, application groups, workspaces, session host management,   FSLogix   profile design, image lifecycle,   autoscale   and user experience optimisation.

- Experience designing and operating Azure Virtual Desktop supporting services, including Azure Files or Azure NetApp Files, networking, private endpoints where   appropriate , monitoring, diagnostics, log analytics and backup or recovery patterns.

- Good working knowledge of Azure governance, including management groups, Azure Policy, Azure RBAC, privileged access, tagging standards, budget controls, cost optimisation, resource   inventory   and compliance reporting.

- Ability to design secure,   scalable   and supportable solutions, documenting HLD/LLD, operational runbooks and decision records.

- Strong scripting and automation capability using PowerShell,   Exchange Online   PowerShell ,   Microsoft Graph , Azure   PowerShell   or Azure CLI, with experience automating repeatable operational tasks.

- Experience working with globally distributed teams, external vendors, security, architecture,   product   and application delivery teams.

- Excellent stakeholder management,   communication   and facilitation skills, with the ability to explain technical topics clearly to non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred qualifications / certifications

- Microsoft 365 Certified:   Messaging Administrator Associate,   Administrator Expert or equivalent   Exchange Online   architecture   and   administration experience.

- Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate, Azure Virtual Desktop   Specialty   or equivalent Azure Virtual Desktop engineering experience.

- Microsoft Azure governance, security,   identity   or cost management certification would be beneficial.

- TOGAF, ITIL, Agile delivery or product management certification is beneficial.
