Field Trainer 1

Overview

The Field Trainer is primarily responsible for on-the-job (in the field) training, coaching, and developing the performance of field employees and promoting the safety and quality standards of the organization, while acting in accordance with company values, vision, and mission.

Responsibilities

- Administers hands-on portion of the Basic Work Zone training process and ensure all aspects of training; including the D.R.I.V.E. program, are completed in accordance with established protocols and timelines

- Provide daily support, coaching, and guidance on best practices to field employees to develop and enhance field employee performance while working on billable orders

- Provide remedial coaching and hands-on training to those identified by Field Management, Safety, or RISK

- Expected to lead by example and professionally represent the organization to clients, employees and the public whether actively working on a site or when providing training or job site support

- Assume field employee responsibilities when necessary and as assigned

- Utilize Microsoft Office tools for immediate interdepartmental communication regarding the Basic Work Zone hands-on training

- Conduct, attend and participate in various department meetings as necessary

- Maintain valid internal training certifications through Flagger Force Academy

- Other duties as assigned by Field Training Supervisor or Field Training Specialists

- Collaborate with peers and managers

- Work in alliance with Flagger Force processes and procedures

The employee is also expected to perform other duties and functions as required.

Qualifications

- Valid driver’s license required

- Respectable verbal, written, analytical and reasoning skills

- Excellent interpersonal skills

- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)

- Steel toed boots or the ability to obtain prior to employment.

Preferred experience:

- One (1) year minimum experience with Flagger Force preferred
