Job Title: Shop Janitor / Porter

Job Summary
The Shop Janitor / Porter is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, organized, and professional shop environment. This position performs general cleaning, trash removal, facility maintenance, and porter duties while assisting shop staff with day-to-day needs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

- Sweep, mop, and clean shop floors and work areas.

- Remove trash, debris, and waste from the shop and surrounding areas.

- Clean restrooms, break rooms, offices, and common areas.

- Keep shop entrances, walkways, and parking areas clean and orderly.

- Restock cleaning supplies, paper products, and other shop necessities.

- Maintain organized storage areas and dispose of unwanted materials properly.

- Clean up spills and other potential safety hazards promptly.

- Assist technicians and other employees with general shop and porter duties.

- Report damaged equipment, unsafe conditions, or maintenance issues to management.

- Follow all company safety policies and proper procedures for handling cleaning products and waste.

- Perform other general maintenance and cleaning duties as assigned.

Qualifications

- Reliable, punctual, and dependable.

- Strong attention to cleanliness and organization.

- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

- Ability to follow instructions and safety procedures.

- Previous janitorial, porter, automotive, warehouse, or shop experience is preferred but not required.

- Valid driver's license is required.

Physical Requirements

- Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, and lift throughout the workday.

- Ability to lift and carry supplies, tools, and other materials.

- Ability to work around vehicles, machinery, dust, grease, and shop-related materials.

- Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Work Environment
This position works primarily in an automotive/shop environment and may be exposed to noise, dust, grease, cleaning chemicals, vehicle exhaust, and changing temperatures. Proper safety equipment and procedures must be followed at all times.

Schedule: Full-time, Monday-Friday 8am-5pm.
