About the role

We're building a team to make migration a core capability of the CARET Legal platform. This team will create an AI-accelerated migration platform that helps law firms move onto CARET with greater speed, confidence, and predictability.  This is a  ground-up platform build, and  we're hiring the  Technical Product Manager  to own its product direction, roadmap, and priorities .    The role is ideal for a product  leader who wants to turn  complex migration  challenges  into  a repeatable ,  scalable platform capability .

You will turn migration  and onboarding  problems into well-scoped product opportunities, set priorities with the team, and stay ac countable for measurable customer and business outcomes .   You will work  closely with the Engineering Tech Lead, who owns technical architecture, and partner with migration and operations teams that bring deep customer and delivery context .

What  you'll   do

- Own the product direction, roadmap, and prioritization for the  migration platform .

- Develop deep   knowledge of the CARET  L e gal  data model  a nd how  it  maps to a pplication behavio r,  workf lows, a nd custome r outcome s.

- Gain  an i n-depth   understanding of   legal practice  management and acco unting ,  including  the wo rkflows ,  customer pro blems,  and data  rel ationships   CARE T Lega l  solves and supports .

- Shape ambiguous problems into clearly scoped , buildable  work with  the Engineering Tech Lead, making disciplined tradeoffs around scope, value, and time.

- Own committed product work through delivery, making deliberate  scope tradeoffs when  new information or complexity emerges .

- Translate customer and operational needs into product priorities, ba la ncing time-t o- value, delivery capaci ty,  pla tform investment , and cu stomer co mmi tments .

- Defi ne and t rack  me asure s  o f migr ation  success, including  time- to - value , cut over exp erience , d elivery  predic tability , quality ,   and custom er outcom es .

- Pa rtner   closely with   migration ad vis ors , de live ry teams , c ustomers, and engi neering so real- world migration experience  shap es  produc t decision s ea rly.

- Deve lop  pro duct strat egy that turn s recurring  migra tion challe nges into dur able pla tform ca pa bilities.

What  we’re looking for

- 6+ years in product management, including  s ubsta ntial  experie nce with tech nical or  data-int ensive  product s s uch as  platforms, integrations, migration  system s , developer tooling , or workflow infra structure .

- A track record of owning   product dire ction and outco mes on  a high- perform ing tech nical team , from  problem defin ition t hrough deli very an d iter ation .

- Strong tech nical  fluency and  the abilit y to  engage deep ly with  engineer s  on  data f lows,  system  behavior , archi tectu re ,  const raints   and  t radeo ffs .

- Strong judgment about scope. You would rather ship a smaller  thing that works than a bigger thing that slips.

- Clear, direct written communication. You can make a sharp case for what to buil d, what n ot to build, and why .

- Experience working across engineering , operations, d elivery, and customer-fa cing  teams where  priorities compete and tr adeof fs have real cons e quences .

Nice to have

- Experience in legal, fintech, healthcare, or another domain with  high standards for correctness, confidentiality, and compliance.

- Familiarity with modern data  archi tecture con cepts incl uding data pip elines , t ransform ation, or ch estration , APIs , and eve nt-drive n  systems .

- Experien ce taking  a technical product  or plat form  from con cept thro ugh  pro duction  lau nch  and  sub sequent iteration .

- E xperience  with ente rpr ise onb oarding , impleme ntation, int egration s, or d ata m igration workfl ows.

The Tech nical Product M anager  and E ngine ering Tech Lead   work as cl ose partn ers :  product   le ads pr oblem definiti on , prio rities , and outcomes; engineering  leads   techn ical ar chitecture and  implementation .    B oth have  meaningful   influ ence o ver s equen cing an d scope , wi th direct access to  the mi gration and operational  teams cl osest to  our customers .

The compensation information below is provided in compliance with job posting disclosure requirements.

Pay range: $140,000 - $150,000 Actual base pay will depend on varying circumstances, including the position, location, individual qualifications, market finances, and other operations business needs.

Depending on the position, compensation may also include commission, bonuses, etc. Potential for bonuses is based on company performance and potential for merit increases is based on performance.
