About this role
On behalf of a **technology company specialising in the development of electromechanical systems and advanced engineering solutions**, we are looking for an Electro-Mechanical & Automation Engineer.
You will join a multidisciplinary technical team and contribute to the entire lifecycle of complex systems and equipment, from initial engineering studies and design through integration, testing, validation and commissioning.
Tasks
**Function**
* Analyse technical requirements and **size and select motion-related components**, including electric motors, drives, controllers and safety devices.
* Design and develop **electromechanical architectures and motion-control systems** for various technical applications.
* Handle the sizing, integration, programming, testing and follow-up of these solutions.
* Develop and adapt **PLC-based automation programs**, particularly using **Structured Text in line with PLCopen principles**.
* Carry out electrical studies and technical analyses required for the development or improvement of equipment.
* Work closely with specialists from **mechanical, electrical, automation and software engineering** disciplines.
* Prepare, execute and continuously improve procedures used to verify system performance and functionality.
* Define new functionalities, formalise their technical specifications and oversee their integration and qualification.
* Contribute to the introduction of new technologies into existing or newly developed systems.
* Perform the **start-up and commissioning of machinery and electromechanical equipment**, whether developed internally or supplied by external manufacturers.
* Identify and resolve technical issues encountered during integration, testing and commissioning phases.
* Prepare and maintain **technical documentation** related to equipment and engineering developments.
* Contribute to improving engineering practices for product design, testing and verification.
* Monitor relevant technological developments and share new approaches and technical concepts within the team.
* Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including customers, suppliers and technical partners.
* Provide technical support during the integration and deployment of electrical and automated solutions.
* Participate occasionally in on-site activities related to installations, commissioning, technical meetings or cooperation with external partners.
* Be available for approximately **10 to 20% international business travel**.
Requirements
**Profile**
* You hold an **Engineering degree or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, Electromechanical Engineering or a related discipline**.
* You have at least **5 years of relevant professional experience** within a technical or industrial environment.
* You have a strong understanding of **automation and control systems**.
* You are proficient in industrial PLC programming, with knowledge of **Structured Text / PLCopen**.
* You have hands-on experience with **electric motors, drive systems, electromechanical components and power electronics**.
* You understand the risks associated with electromechanical machinery and are familiar with the principles of **electrical and functional safety** applicable to equipment design.
* Knowledge of one or more programming languages such as **C, C++, Java or Python** is considered an advantage.
* You are comfortable working on multidisciplinary technical challenges involving electrical engineering, mechanics, automation and software.
* You are confident working in an **English-speaking professional environment**, both for technical discussions and documentation.
* Knowledge of **French, German or Luxembourgish** would be an additional asset.
* You are autonomous, methodical and able to adapt to a variety of technical challenges.
* You enjoy working within a **small, multidisciplinary engineering team**.
* You are willing to travel internationally on an occasional basis.
