Summary:  The  Senior  Associate – Fund Risk will support the Fund Risk function through risk reporting and oversight for regulated funds. The role will  predominantly center  around risk reporting for  ManCo  clients, in particular the calculation of market risk analytics and monitoring of investment compliance limits. A sound knowledge of fund regulations, and an understanding of the environment that funds  operate  in, is essential to the role.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Reviewing fund-related reports provided by Investment Managers

- Performing due diligence on Investment Managers as part of client acceptance process

- Analysing  the key risk indicators of KBA’s client portfolios

- Preparing of regulatory reports such as Annex IV

- Conducting liquidity stress testing  in accordance with  each fund’s policy

- Preparing risk reporting for monthly review by KBA’s Risk Committee

- Presenting risk analysis at external fund board meetings

REQUIREMENTS

Education:

- A minimum of a 3rd level Degree in Finance, Business or similar field is required .   A  Master’s Degree  in a Finance or Mathematical field or a related professional qualification would be desirable but is not a requirement.

Experience:

- Minimum of two years’ experience in the finance/funds/investment management industry

- An understanding of fund operations and accuracy in examining data .

- A high level  of  proficiency  with Microsoft applications including Excel,  Powerpoint , and Word is  required  while experience with Bloomberg,  RiskMetrics  or similar systems would be beneficial.

- An understanding of computer programming languages such as VBA,  SQL  or Python

- Clarity of analysis and of expression, both written and oral

- A commitment to  on-going  professional and personal development.
