About this role
The Groves Maintenance team is a vital part of keeping our church running efficiently. The Maintenance Technician works closely with our Facilities Director, Maintenance Supervisor and the entire Grove team, to ensure that all areas of the church are functioning well, presentable, and ready to go for every regular church service as well as any other events that are held at The Grove.
Reports to: Maintenance Supervisor
Works with: Staff and volunteers
Works: Part time, hourly
MAINTENANCE — 95%
- Perform non-technical maintenance of structural, plumbing, and HVAC equipment, at a level not requiring formal licensure.
- Perform carpentry maintenance, including routine sheet rock/drywall installation and repair, window replacement, cabinet/countertop replacement, and painting.
- Assist with maintaining HVAC systems; replace filters.
- Assist with standard repairs to electrical and plumbing systems.
- Repair and service kitchen, food service, and janitorial equipment as needed.
- Request parts and supplies as needed for tasks, including parts pick-up at local vendors.
OTHER— 5%
- Join church all-staff meetings and devotions when available.
- Attend Facilities trainings as needed.
