Nauset Disposal has an opening for a Diesel Mechanic join our GROWING team at our site in South Yarmouth, MA.
Schedule: Monday - Friday 10:00pm to 8:30pm & Saturday's as needed.
Pay Rate: $26.00 to $36.00 per hour

Our priority is to make sure we hire mechanics that care about the safety of our drivers and the service provided to the community. As a mechanic with us the minimum responsibilities are:
- Assists experienced mechanics with vehicle maintenance and repairs, learning the trade under supervision.
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections on trucks and equipment
- Conduct oil changes , filter replacements, tire rotations, and lubrication
- Assist with brakes inspections, fluid levels, belts, hoses, and other key components
- Identify potential issues and report necessary repairs to the lead mechanic
- Maintain accurate service records and reports
- Keep work areas clean and organized in compliance with safety regulations
- Assist with minor repairs and support the mechanic team as needed
What we need from you:
- Mechanical aptitude, a drive to learn and grow with a team.
- Ability to adapt to a wide variety of environments to complete work assignments
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Welding/fabrication experience, a major plus
