Responsibilities

- Analyze and improve operational flows, automation strategies, and manual sorting processes across sites

- Contribute to the development of operating standards and continuous improvement initiatives using Lean principles   and   ergonomic   standards

- Support the design, testing, and implementation of new   stations, including layout planning and equipment   selection

- Create and update technical drawings   on   AutoCAD ,   validating   designs with   engineering

- Conduct data analysis on throughput, costs, and quality metrics to define sorting thresholds and support decision-making

- Participate in field visits to gather insights, assess equipment performance, and support project execution

- Assist   in preparing visual aids, documentation, and recommendations for automation and material handling projects

- The role involves daily (or regular) communication with pan-Canadian stakeholders.

Qualifications

- Currently pursuing a   bachelor's degree   in industrial engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related field.

- Strong interest in operational excellence and performance improvement   with   an   eagerness to learn .

- Proficient   in Excel, with a focus on data analysis

- Understanding   RFI, RFP, and RFQ processes   is an asset.

- Familiarity with automated warehouse or HUB environments   is an asset.

- Working knowledge   of   AutoCAD   and   experience with simulation software   i s an asset .

- Proactive   and   solution   driven mindset.

- Willingness to travel to various locations for project support and site visits, with flexibility to accommodate operational hours, including early mornings or late evenings.
