PURPOSE
About the Role & Team
SITA Cape Town International Airport is seeking recent graduates to join our South Africa Graduate Program within the Professional Field Services function. This 12‑month graduate program opportunity offers exposure to a fast-paced global environment, with the potential for permanent employment depending on business needs and individual performance.
As a Graduate Junior Field Engineer Support , you will provide technical service support to SITA airline customers as part of the Professional Field Services function. You will be accountable for ensuring smooth technical service delivery, system availability, and adherence to service-level agreements (SLAs). Reporting to the Senior Technical Support Specialist , you will join a dynamic team responsible for maintaining and supporting IT infrastructure and service operations across Cape Town International Airport.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
What You Will Do
- Ensure SLA compliance with the shortest possible restoration times.
- Manage incidents for internal and external customers, driving timely resolution.
- Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, software, and peripherals.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across desktops, printers, and network devices.
- Conduct preventive and proactive maintenance to maximize system availability.
- Escalate unresolved problems to higher support levels with clear documentation.
- Provide onsite technical support during service cutovers and transitions.
- Collaborate with diverse colleagues locally and globally to ensure smooth operations.
- Contribute to corporate projects shaping the future of aviation technology.
- Keep accurate records of repairs, maintenance tasks, and inventory for accountability.

Qualifications
EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS
Who You Are
- Qualifications in IT, Computer Science, or an equivalent/related field
- Exposure to or basic knowledge of IT support (Desktop, PCs, Printers, Network Devices).
- Working knowledge of Windows 10 & 11, networking fundamentals, and Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong interest in IT support and technical service operations.
- Willingness to learn and adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment.
- Friendly and helpful attitude, taking responsibility to solve customer problems.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and collaborate with diverse colleagues.
- Good communication skills and eagerness to build professional relationships.
- Act with honesty, focus on customers, and look for better ways to get results that make a real difference.
Nice‑to‑Have
- Certification in CompTIA A+ (foundational IT support skills).
- Certification in CompTIA N+ (networking fundamentals and troubleshooting).
