JOB SUMMARY: This position is responsible for the washing and refurbishing of packaging materials used in the pack out stage of the chemical production process.
EDUCATION:
Required: High school diploma or GED
EXPERIENCE:
Required: 1 year experience in an industrial environment
Preferred: 1+ years in a chemical production environment
POSITION REQUIREMENT(S): Specialized Skills/License/Certification
Required:
- Unrestricted employment authorization to work in the US
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Project a professional appearance with the ability to represent our company in a positive manner to our customers and associates
- Ability to handle changing priorities and use good judgment in stressful situations
- Ability to organize and maintain a safe and clean work environment
CORE COMPETENCIES (Essential Job Functions)
- Wear mandatory PPE at all times.
- Load and unload material from trailers using a forklift and/or pallet jack.
- Maintain the organization of the back dock as it relates to inbound packaging items.
- Operate small hand tools used to refurbish totes.
- Operate tote wash island in safe and efficient manner.
- Operate drum wash station in safe and efficient manner.
- Follow all chemical washout guidelines, making sure that incompatible chemicals NEVER enter the wastewater discharge system together.
- Ensure that all packaging items are washed in a timely fashion making sure that the back dock does not overflow with inbound material.
- Complete paperwork documenting output and submit to supervisor at end of every shift.
- Complete other duties and special projects upon request.
