Job Title:   Material s   Quality   Engineer

Entegris is seeking a   Material s   Quality   Engineer   for the   Ultra High Purity gas purification systems business in San Louis Obispo,   CA .    Your primary responsibility   will be to   deliver consistent   high quality   raw materials to our manufacturing   operations .     You will   assess and manage supplier risk, performance, and improvement .    You will   implement effective supplier corrective actions ,   assess   proposed   supply   changes,   and   drive continuous quality improvements   to   ensure a robust   raw material supply chain   for Entegris and our   end-use   customers .

You must be able to work with significant autonomy and independent judgement   as part of   the global   Materials   Quality   Engineering   organization .     You   will have the interpersonal skills to develop strong working relationships with both   our critical/strategic suppliers   and   internal customers   as you   collaborat e   with   Procurement, Operations, R&D ,   and Customer Qua lity.

Key Responsibilities

- Resolve   incoming   fabricated metal and electronic   part   quality issues   by driving   supplier   quality   investigat ions .    I mplement effective corrective actions   to prevent   recurrence .

- A nalyse, synthesize, and summarize complex data sets to drive clear decision making and action with cross-functional groups .

- Lead projects to evaluate the technical risk of supplier notified changes   (management of change)   and execute implementation.

- Drive   raw material   supplier   improvement   using   supplier assessment/audit s , scorecards,   measurement systems analysis,   control plan development,   SPC,   FMEA,   continuous improvement projects, and six sigma projects .

- Develop and   maintain   part specifications, certificate of analysis acceptance criteria, analytical test methods, and quality documentation.

- Provide strategic technical solutions to   close   material performance gaps and improve supply chain value for Entegri s.

- Proactively assess   and   plan risk mitigation   strategies   (business continuity planning) with procurement.

- Contribute to success of   new product development   (NPD)   by   evaluating new   materials ’ capability   and   working closely with   the   business unit .

- Use clear and concise verbal and written c ommunica tion with supplier contacts, internal stakeholders, and leadership.

- Establish and   maintain   relationships with technical external supplier contacts.

- Train suppliers on semiconductor industry qualit y expectations and key requirements.

- Build effective working relationships across the   factory   and company .

- Support Entegris ISO and customer maintenance audit activities.

Qualifications:

- Education –   BS   Degree in Chemical, Mechanical ,   Electrical,   or Materials Engineering.

- Experience   -   Minimum   3   years’ experience   work experience in   c hemical or   m aterials   p roduction environment   with   core competency in manufacturing, quality, and/or production management .     Six sigma knowledge   preferred .    Experience within semiconductor industry   a plus.

- Ability to travel up to 20% domestically or internationally.

- Ab ility   to   lift   up   to   50 lbs .

- Communications   - S kill in concise and clear verbal and written communications and experience with front line supplier and customer interactions .    Ability to analyse, synthesize, and summarize complex data sets to drive clear decision making and action with cross-functional groups and leadership.

- Compensation: $114,000-$125,000 per year range with actual pay dependent on candidate overall skills for the role
