Responsibilities:

- Build and scale high-performing full-stack development teams that deliver world-class products and experiences.
- Attract, engage, and retain top engineering talent, fostering an environment where individuals thrive and grow.
- Define the vision, strategy, and roadmap for the team, providing clear leadership and direction in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Cultivate a culture of innovation, growth mindset, and customer obsession, inspiring teams to challenge convention and raise the bar.
- Partner cross-functionally with Product, Design, Marketing and external partners to align on strategy, priorities, and execution.
- Stay deeply connected to technology trends, leading technical reviews and diving into details when needed to ensure excellence.
- Set clear goals and performance expectations, measure impact against objectives, and continuously optimize for outcomes.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience, with 10+ years of building and delivering large-scale consumer applications and 5+ years leading engineering teams.
- Proven ability to align technical execution with business and product strategy, inspiring teams to deliver impactful results.
- Strong hands-on experience with object-oriented programming — ideally in Java, Kotlin, Swift, or similar languages.
- Strong expertise in scalable application development, including clustering, caching, performance tuning, and system design.
- Experience in modern web technologies such as TypeScript, Node.js, HTML5, CSS3, and object-oriented JavaScript.
- Experience with mobile app development, frameworks and platform components.
- Familiarity with agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, Lean) and engineering best practices like continuous integration, deployment and automated testing.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage priorities across multiple teams and initiatives.
- Experience with AI tools, technologies, and modern machine learning applications that enhance developer and user experiences.
- Skilled at leading diverse, distributed teams and fostering collaboration across time zones and disciplines.
- Strong communicator and empathetic leader who builds trust, supports growth, and maintains a positive, constructive approach — even under pressure.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience developing or leading teams that build mail or messaging applications at scale.
- Proven track record driving user growth, engagement, and retention initiatives.
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms, particularly Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Amazon Web Services (AWS).

The compensation for this position ranges from $160,965.00 - $349,885.00/yr and will vary depending on factors such as your location, skills and experience.The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of discretionary annual bonus or commissions.
