Xu lab a t the department of Veterinary Biosciences   is   seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Scholar with expertise in   viral research and   antibody discovery   to join our interdisciplinary team focused on understanding antibody -antigen   interactions and advancing vaccine and therapeutic design for   viral diseases   and other diseases that affect both humans and animals. The successful candidate will be involved in the   viral entry study, as well as   antibody discovery and characterization . Responsibilities will include   setting up virology study, and   antibody   functional study . The postdoc will collaborate closely with researchers in immunology and related fields, contribute to publications and grant writing, and will have the opportunity to explore independent research projects aligned with the lab’s goals. The ideal candidate is collaborative, detail-oriented, and passionate about   our research .

Physical Requirements:

This position will be based in a research laboratory environment with standard laboratory conditions.

Must be able to work at a computer for extended periods for data analysis, and manuscript preparation.

May require   routine   work with biological samples, including recombinant proteins and antibodies.

Use of specialized equipment.

Adherence to safety protocols for handling biological and chemical reagents.

Occasional evening or weekend work may be required based on experimental timelines.

Additional Information:

Minimum Requirements:

Ph.D.   with h ands-on experience with   viral study and   antibody   functional characterization .

Proven ability to carry out   related experiments .

Strong background in molecular biology, protein biochemistry, and   other   characterization methods.

Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment.

Excellent written and oral communication skills, with a strong publication record in peer-reviewed journals.

Desired Requirements:

Experience   in virology study , antibody functional   analysis.

Prior work on   antibody   engineering or rational design.

Experience mentoring junior researchers or supervising laboratory personnel.
