Advance d   Innovation   and Technology   (AIT)   Team

The   Advanced Innovation and Technology   (AIT)   team   at Entegris   is seeking   a highly skilled and motivated   Senior Principal Engineer   to   lead our strateg ic   engag ements with   OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturers)   and device manufacturers in Japan.

This   collaborative   role   is   part of the AIT team but   spans multiple product lines   and   interfac es   with internal stakeholders and   technology partners.   The ideal candidate will   have   strong semiconductor technology knowledge, strong relationships with semiconductor equipment   and device   manufactures, a collaborative mindset ,   and a passion for new materials innovation s   and collaborations   to drive semiconductor   technology .

This hybrid remote position   will be   based in Tokyo, Japan , with   partial   work from home   and   include travel within Japan and   internationally . Ap plicants must   be fluent in Japanese and English .

What you’ll do

- B uild strong , collaborative r elationships   with   OEMs in Japan . This will be accomplished by d riv ing   ongoing OEM-J apan   collaborations across   Entegris   Business Units ( B U s )   and c oordinat ing   and   d riv ing   Roadmap alignment activities with OEMs   and Individual Device Manufacturers (IDMs)   in Japan,   t ranslat ing   r oadmap alignment   learnings   to Entegris opportunities .

- Build strong   relationships with the Entegris Japan Account Team.   Foster and support   strong relations with Entegris Field Support and Marketing teams in Japan   and USA.

- Align roadmaps between Entegris technology offerings and our technology partners.

- Determine strategic customer and industry technical needs & communicate the implications to divisional stakeholders .   Map Entegris products to OEM tools , identifying   which are most critical (aligned with   Divisions /BUs ) .

- Initiate new and drive existing collaborations with OEMs and IDMs in Japan to benefit Entegris Research and   BU   Divisions .

- Create technical engagement plans and initiatives for strategic customers and partners .   Propose OEM novel collaboration areas and work with OEMs and   Entegris   BUs on novel precursors/filters/coatings/polish slurry/pads to support   targeted   OEM s.

- Drive cross functional projects by engaging R&D engineers, technologists, and business unit leaders across Entegris.

- Support technical engagements with external research partners .

- Merge OEM-Japan and OEM-USA strateg ies.

- Build relationships with Japanese Universities   and initiate research collaborations.

Traits   which   make a strong candidate:

- Master’s   or Ph.D.   degree in Engineering or Science, or equivalent in a technical field; Ph . D .   preferred , with   10+ years of experience   in the semiconductor industry , at an equipment   and/ or device manufacturer.

- In-depth k nowledge   of   semiconductor   process   technology   and   semiconductor equipment.

- Project management experience, with a track record of planning, driving and executing projects   with multiple stakeholders across many   organizations and   time zones .

- Ability to build business relationships and leverage existing relationships to   further Entegris technology.

- Ability to easily gain an i ntimate understanding of the broad Entegris product portfolio   ( liquid and gas   filters, FOUPs, solid and liquid precursors, clean and etch   chemistries ,   coatings,   etc ).

- E xcellent verbal and written communication skills,   in   both   Japanese and English,   with an ability to   create   and present technical materials to internal and external customers .

- Develop   and manage   relationships with key personnel   within Entegris

- S eek out and develop   fruitful   partnerships with key technical partners   in Japan,   e.g. OEMs,  IDMs, consortia and universities .

- Drive roadmap alignment efforts with OEMs and IDMs in Japan to align technology innovations with new product opportunities for Entegris.

- Lead   technology   development   partnerships to   meet customers ’   technical, commercial, and timing requirements , utilizing Entegris’ suite of products.
