Title:
Electrical Modeller

As an   Electrical Designer/Modeller , you will play a key role in the design and delivery of one of Australia's largest and most significant rail infrastructure projects.

Working within the SRL East   Linewide   Alliance, you will support the development and coordination of electrical systems associated with stations, tunnels, depot and maintenance facilities, rail systems infrastructure, and associated building services. You will   be responsible for   developing detailed 3D models and design documentation using Revit MEP,   AutoCAD   and other digital engineering tools, ensuring designs are coordinated, constructible and aligned with project requirements, Australian   Standards   and client expectations.

Working closely with electrical engineers and multidisciplinary design teams, you will contribute to project delivery from concept through detailed design and construction, helping to shape a transformative piece of infrastructure that will serve Melbourne's growing communities for generations to come.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop detailed 3D electrical models and associated design documentation using Revit MEP,   AutoCAD   and other relevant modelling platforms.

- Support the development and delivery of electrical design solutions from concept through to detailed design and construction phases.

- Prepare high-quality electrical drawings and documentation   in accordance with   Australian Standards, client   requirements   and project specifications.

- Model and coordinate electrical systems including power distribution, lighting, communications, security, earthing, lightning protection, station services, depot   facilities   and associated rail infrastructure systems.

- Collaborate closely with electrical engineers, project teams,   clients   and stakeholders to deliver successful project outcomes.

- Participate in design reviews, BIM coordination   activities   and interdisciplinary workshops.

- Manage and deliver   allocated   electrical discipline work packages   in accordance with   project requirements.

- Identify ,   troubleshoot   and resolve modelling,   coordination   and design issues.

- Coordinate effectively with multidisciplinary design teams including civil, structural, architectural, mechanical, track,   systems   and rail disciplines.

- Ensure all work is completed to agreed standards of quality,   cost   and schedule.

- Contribute innovative ideas to improve project performance, constructability,   efficiency   and technical outcomes.

- Support continuous improvement initiatives and digital engineering best practices.

- Maintain a strong commitment to safety,   quality   and sustainability.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

- Associate Diploma, Diploma in Engineering, Advanced   Diploma   or a related qualification (highly regarded).

- Experience as an Electrical Designer, Drafter or Modeller within transport, rail, buildings, Defence, utilities,   energy   or major infrastructure projects.

- Proficiency   in Revit MEP and AutoCAD.

- Demonstrated experience developing electrical models and drawings for building services, transport   infrastructure   and/or high-voltage electrical systems.

- Understanding of electrical systems including power, lighting, communications, security, fire and life safety systems and associated infrastructure.

- Experience producing   accurate   electrical drawings and models with minimal supervision.

- Experience working within multidisciplinary project teams in a BIM environment.

- Familiarity with BIM processes, model   coordination   and digital engineering workflows.

- Experience using Navisworks, Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) and   Revizto   will be highly regarded.

- Knowledge of PDF review and mark-up software such as Bluebeam or PDF- XChange .

- Experience on rail, transport, buildings, Defence,   utilities   or major infrastructure projects will be highly regarded.

- Strong communication   and stakeholder engagement skills.

- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
