The Opportunity
We’re hiring an experienced Maintenance Technician for our 2nd shift . We’re looking for someone with a strong mechanical background who can troubleshoot, maintain, and repair production equipment to keep our operation running safely and efficiently.
This position will eventually work independently on 2nd shift , so previous hands-on machine maintenance experience and strong problem-solving skills are important.
Shift & Training
- Regular Shift: Monday-Friday, 3 PM - 11 PM
- Shift Differential: $0.75/hour
- Training: Approximately 3 months of 1st shift before transitioning to 2nd shift; training length may vary based on experience and progress
What You'll Learn & Do
- Perform preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on production equipment
- Diagnose mechanical issues and make necessary repairs to minimize downtime
- Inspect equipment and identify wear or potential problems before failures occur
- Perform routine adjustments, lubrication, and equipment maintenance
- Diagnose and repair chain-driven and gear-driven equipment
- Assist with electrical troubleshooting and repairs when appropriate
- Follow electrical and equipment safety procedures, including safe practices when working around electrical components
- Assist with building maintenance and repairs as needed
- Perform basic welding and fabrication as needed
- Assist with the installation and setup of new equipment
- Communicate with Machine Operators and production leadership regarding equipment issues and repairs
- Maintain a safe, organized work area and properly document maintenance work
What We're Looking For
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on machine maintenance experience required
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
- Working knowledge of electrical safety and the ability to recognize electrical hazards
- Comfortable working with tools, machinery, and mechanical systems
- Good communication skills and ability to work with Machine Operators and production teams
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must furnish your own mechanic's set of metric and standard tools and locking toolbox
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 lbs, with or without reasonable accommodation
Electrical experience is a plus, but not required. Candidates with experience troubleshooting motors, controls, VFDs, or other industrial electrical systems are encouraged to apply.
