As our business continues to grow, we're looking for an Instrumentation & Technical Service Technician to join our Christchurch team.

About the role

No two days are the same.

One day you may be calibrating moisture analysers and gas analysers in our Christchurch workshop. The next you could be visiting a customer site, installing equipment, troubleshooting an issue, or training operators on how to get the best results from their instruments.

This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys solving problems, working with technology, and building good relationships with customers.

What you'll be doing

- Service, repair and calibrate scientific and industrial instruments.

- Prepare and maintain loan equipment and laboratory instruments.

- Install and commission new equipment for customers.

- Diagnose faults and provide practical technical solutions.

- Support customers by phone, email and on-site visits.

- Maintain accurate service records and documentation.

- Identify opportunities to support customers with additional products or services.

- Work closely with our sales, laboratory and technical teams.

- Contribute to a safe, organised and professional workplace.

What we're looking for

You don't need to know everything on day one. We can teach the products.

What matters most is your attitude.

You'll likely have:

- A practical, hands-on approach to problem solving.

- Strong mechanical, electrical or technical aptitude.

- Good communication skills and confidence dealing with customers.

- A willingness to learn new technologies and applications.

- The ability to work independently and take ownership of your work.

- A positive, down-to-earth attitude and strong work ethic.

- A full New Zealand driver's licence.

Experience servicing instrumentation, electronics, laboratory equipment, industrial automation systems or similar technical equipment would be an advantage, but isn't essential.
