Automotive Traveling Detailer

Xcite Automotive is seeking an Automotive Traveling Detailer to support the launch and ongoing operations of new dealership locations across the United States.

Job Description: The Automotive Traveling Detailer provides hands-on automotive detailing and reconditioning support across multiple dealership locations. This role travels to assigned locations to support production, assist with new dealership launches, help improve workflow and quality, and provide hands-on training and support to local detailing teams.

The ideal candidate is an experienced automotive detailer who takes pride in their work, maintains high quality standards, works efficiently, and is comfortable traveling frequently to different dealerships and markets.

Key Responsibilities:

- Perform high-quality interior and exterior automotive detailing.
- Travel to assigned dealerships to support production and new location launches.
- Complete vehicles efficiently while meeting company and dealership standards.
- Inspect vehicles and correct quality issues, touch-ups, and rework.
- Support high-volume production and special detailing projects.
- Provide hands-on training and support to local detailing teams.
- Demonstrate proper detailing techniques, product use, and equipment operation.
- Maintain clean, organized, and properly functioning equipment and work areas.
- Safely handle chemicals, tools, and professional detailing equipment.
- Identify and properly report pre-existing or newly discovered vehicle damage.
- Communicate production, quality, equipment, and operational needs to local management.
- Adapt to different dealerships, teams, workflows, and operational needs while traveling.

Must-Have Qualifications

- Professional automotive detailing or reconditioning experience .
- Strong experience with interior and exterior vehicle detailing .
- Ability to produce consistent, high-quality work while maintaining productivity.
- Knowledge of professional detailing products, tools, and equipment .
- Ability to safely operate pressure washers, vacuums, extractors, polishers, and other detailing equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship.
- Ability to work independently and adapt to different dealerships and teams.
- Strong communication, reliability, and work ethic.
- Willingness and ability to travel extensively, including overnight travel .
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying conditions.
- Ability to perform hands-on detailing for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds .

Nice-to-Have Qualifications:

- 2+ years of professional automotive detailing experience.
- Dealership or automotive reconditioning experience.
- Experience working in high-volume detailing environments .
- Experience training or assisting other Detailers.
- Experience with paint correction, polishing, or buffing .
- Experience supporting new location launches or mobile detailing operations .
- Familiarity with a variety of professional detailing products, tools, and equipment.
