About this role

We’re rethinking homes for how people really live, and we’re looking for a Showroom Manager to join our Melbourne Retail team to help shape the future of living - one thoughtful detail at a time.

Retail at Castlery is where design, service, and experience meet - giving customers a space to explore, connect, and discover the perfect pieces for their homes.

As the leader of our brand-new Melbourne showroom, you'll be at the helm from day one — shaping how it comes to life and overseeing its day-to-day operations to ensure every detail reflects our brand ethos and standards.

What you will be doing:

Showroom Management

- Develop and implement strategies to achieve sales targets and key performance indicators (KPIs).

- Analyse showroom data and customer feedback to identify trends and make informed decisions to optimize showroom performance.

- Drive compliance on global retail procedures and operating standards, supported by clear SOPs, system manuals and toolkits.

- Other key areas include Inventory management, floor management, visual merchandising, sales and budget planning.

Team Management

- Lead, motivate, and mentor the showroom team to achieve individual and collective goals.

- Conduct regular performance reviews, provide constructive feedback, implement trainings and identify opportunities for professional development.

- Foster a positive and collaborative team culture.

Customer Experience

- Drive the O2O (Online-to-Offline) strategy in-store, focusing on seamlessly integrating the online and offline customer experience.

- Implement in-store programs that enable customers to confidently evaluate and purchase our products.

Cross-functional Team Collaboration

- Align showroom activities with overall marketing strategies (e.g., brand collaborations, events) and create engaging online content that complements the showroom experience.

- Be the retail coordinator for key local projects, such as new seasonal launches, marketing campaigns, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure successful delivery of products.

- Explore and embark on initiatives to enhance and unify online-to-offline customer interactions, sales processes and achieve operational sustainability.

What you’ll need:

- Minimum of 5 years of leadership experience in retail management, preferably in the furniture or home goods industry.

- Fluent English with excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

- Customer-first mindset with a passion for customer experience.

- Ability to understand customer needs and translate them into actionable strategies.

- Strong leadership capabilities and communication skills.

- Excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.

- Team player that is always in the game right along with your team and collaborates effectively cross-functionally.

- Ability to work independently with a bias for action.

- Flexible with your schedule. Your work hours will be based on business needs.

- Strong knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel and Outlook)

- Proficiency in using technology for showroom management and customer engagement.

- Knowledge of O2O strategies and implementation in the retail industry is a plus.

- Willingness to work weekends, public holidays, and rostered hours as required.
