Job Description
The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced IBM Sterling MFT Developer to join our client on an 8-month contract. This role is focused specifically on IBM Sterling File Gateway (SFG) and requires strong hands-on development and implementation experience within the IBM Sterling B2B/MFT ecosystem.
This is not a general Managed File Transfer position. The successful candidate must be a true IBM Sterling developer with significant hands-on experience working with Sterling File Gateway.
Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, configure, and support IBM Sterling File Gateway (SFG) solutions.

- Develop and maintain secure Managed File Transfer workflows and integrations.

- Configure and manage trading partners, routing channels, mailboxes, and file transfer processes.

- Develop and troubleshoot business processes within the IBM Sterling environment.

- Implement and support secure file transfer protocols, including SFTP, FTPS, and HTTPS.

- Integrate Sterling File Gateway with internal applications, external partners, and enterprise systems.

- Troubleshoot file transfer failures, routing issues, and production incidents.

- Support enhancements, upgrades, and ongoing optimization of the MFT environment.

- Work closely with infrastructure, application, security, and integration teams.

- Participate in technical design, development, testing, deployment, and production support activities.

Required Experience

- Strong hands-on experience as an IBM Sterling Developer.

- Deep experience with IBM Sterling File Gateway (SFG).

- Experience with IBM Sterling B2B Integrator / Sterling Integrator.

- Strong understanding of Managed File Transfer architecture and solutions.

- Experience configuring trading partners, routing channels, mailboxes, and business processes.

- Experience with secure file transfer protocols such as SFTP, FTPS, and HTTPS.

- Ability to develop, configure, troubleshoot, and support Sterling solutions independently.

- Strong understanding of enterprise integrations and secure data and file exchange.

- Experience working within large, complex enterprise environments.

Ideal Candidate

- Hands-on IBM Sterling specialist with experience building and supporting Sterling File Gateway solutions in production environments.

- Strong understanding of the platform beyond administration and support functions.

- Comfortable developing, configuring, and troubleshooting complex Managed File Transfer integrations.
