We are looking for a driven, detail-oriented Assistant Project Manager (APM) to support the successful delivery of commercial stair systems, railings, structural steel, and architectural metal projects throughout the Mid-Atlantic region. What You'll Do
As an Assistant Project Manager, you'll work alongside experienced Project Managers to help keep projects organized, on schedule, and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
βœ… Assist with project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and milestone tracking
βœ… Monitor submittals, engineering deliverables, fabrication timelines, and installation progress
βœ… Support budget management, purchase orders, and cost tracking
βœ… Coordinate material procurement, deliveries, labor resources, and subcontractors
βœ… Help maintain project documentation, reports, and daily status updates
βœ… Assist with OSHA-compliant safety initiatives and documentation
βœ… Participate in quality control inspections and corrective action tracking
βœ… Support client communications, progress meetings, and project updates
βœ… Track contract requirements and assist with change order management
βœ… Compile project reports, photos, and field documentation
What We're Looking For
βœ” Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field (preferred)
βœ” 1–3 years of construction, project coordination, or related experience
βœ” Experience in commercial construction or miscellaneous metals is a plus
βœ” Ability to read architectural and engineering drawings
βœ” Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
βœ” Proficiency with Microsoft 365 and project management software (Procore experience preferred)
βœ” Knowledge of construction processes, safety standards, and building practices
βœ” Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
βœ” Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and professionalism
