Great outcomes start with great people and Armor has an exciting opportunity for a Clinical Nurse Specialist to collaborate with leadership and support the clinical outcomes of the patients we serve.
This position will require up to 75% travel to various Armor Health correctional contracts throughout the country. Candidates must live in close proximity to a major airport.
Responsibilities
- Analyze and assess the effectiveness of clinical programs and operations and provide recommendations to site leadership
- Provide clinical program technical assistance to ensure that all aspects of patient care delivery meet established policy, procedure, local and state statutes and regulations, and applicable national standards
- Develop and provide training and expert technical assistance in acute care nursing practice and procedure
- Assist in monitoring and evaluating the appropriateness of facility quality control plans and practices
- Assist in the development of staffing and clinical operations plans in accordance with prospective new business requests for proposals
- Assist with new contract program development, training, and initiation of new clinical operations programs
- Participate in review of and make recommendations for appropriate changes to company policies, procedures, protocols, guidelines and forms
- Participate in the planning, development, coordination, and presentation of specific training and educational programs as appropriate to clinical programs
Qualifications
- Current state license as a RN; LPN candidates with applicable experience will be considered
- Current CPR certificate
- Correctional healthcare experience highly desired
- Proficient with electronic medical records
- Ability to pass pre-employment Level 2 clearance to include background check and drug screen
