Responsibilities
Perform excavation work to access underground sewer and drain lines
Install, repair, and replace residential sewer and drainage piping
Operate mini excavators, trenchers, compactors, and other excavation equipment
Dig and prepare trenches for sewer and drain installations
Remove damaged or deteriorated piping and install new drain/sewer lines
Properly grade and pitch piping to ensure appropriate drainage and flow
Assist with sewer line inspections and identifying damaged sections of piping
Backfill, compact, and restore excavation areas following completed installations
Safely work around existing underground utilities and structures
Load, unload, and transport tools, materials, and equipment to job sites
Follow all company safety procedures and OSHA requirements, including proper trench and excavation safety
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site
Communicate professionally with homeowners and team members throughout the project
Qualifications
Previous experience with sewer, drain, plumbing, excavation, underground utility, or similar installation work preferred
Experience operating a mini excavator or other excavation equipment strongly preferred
Knowledge of underground piping, drainage systems, and proper pipe grading is a plus
Comfortable performing physically demanding work and working outdoors in varying weather conditions
Ability to safely lift and move heavy materials and equipment
Strong attention to safety and job-site procedures
Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
Ability to work independently and as part of an installation crew
