About the role:

As a Future Student Advisor,   you’ll   guide prospective students through their journey from   initial   enquiry to enrolment.   You’ll   assess applications against published entry criteria, provide clear and personalised advice, and use your delegated authority to offer admission within the approved scope. Working closely with the Student Recruitment, Marketing,   and   Admissions teams,   you’ll   deliver an outstanding future student experience while contributing to admissions targets and the growth of MDS at Strayer.

Key Accountabilities:

Include but are not limited to the following:

- Provide exceptional customer service to prospective students,   applicants   and internal stakeholders at every stage of the admissions journey.

- Review applicants against published entry criteria, including NCEA, CIE, IB and NZQA requirements, and protect the integrity of the admissions process.

- Offer enrolment only to students who meet the relevant entry criteria or have approved entry from a Program Manager; refer exceptions for decision.

- Actively engage and follow up applicants throughout the conversion process, completing follow-up activities within 24 hours and working towards agreed conversion targets.

- Work collaboratively to achieve and exceed   allocated   admissions targets and contribute to a positive, student-centred team culture.

- Maintain   accurate   prospective student, lead,   account   and enrolment records in   Salesforce , ensuring supporting documentation is gathered and compliant.

- Ensure lead and campaign information is captured through the Marketing Cloud-to-CRM process to support   accurate   reporting and data quality.

- Prepare   accurate   individual reports and complete reporting requirements   in a timely manner .

- Support campus tours, Open Days, Information Sessions, school   visits   and expos when   required ,   representing   MDS at Strayer professionally.

- Build strong working relationships with Program Managers, Marketing and Student Recruitment, Admissions and Enrolments, and other key internal teams.

- Complete   allocated   projects, compulsory   training   and other duties as directed by your manager, while   complying with   relevant policies, NZQA standards,   legislation   and codes.

Who you are:

- Experience in admissions, student recruitment, customer   service   or a related role; experience in the higher education or VET sector is   advantageous .

- A tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline is desirable.

- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain entry and enrolment requirements clearly and confidently.

- Experience using CRM or admissions systems; competency with Salesforce is   advantageous .

- Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.

- Excellent organisation and time management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.

- A self-driven and autonomous approach, balanced with the ability to collaborate effectively and follow established processes.

- A demonstrated   track record   of meeting or exceeding targets in a customer-focused or sales-oriented environment.

This is a full-time, permanent position based at the Media Design School in Auckland and is an on-site position.
