About this role

¡Hola!

We're looking for an experienced hospitality professional to join our front-of-house leadership team at Restaurant Sanchez.

At Sanchez, a Captain is responsible for creating exceptional guest experiences from the moment guests arrive until they leave. This role is ideal for someone who has built their career in high-level hospitality, thrives on service excellence, and enjoys leading by example on the floor.

Restaurant Sanchez is the culinary hub of Sanchez, a group of contemporary Mexican restaurants founded by chef Rosio Sanchez. As a Michelin Bib Gourmand restaurant, we are passionate about delivering thoughtful hospitality, exceptional food, and genuine connections with our guests.

You will...

- Lead your section with confidence, ensuring every guest receives warm, attentive, and memorable service.
- Guide guests through our menu and beverage program with genuine enthusiasm, deep product knowledge, and thoughtful recommendations.
- Take ownership of the guest experience from arrival through farewell, anticipating needs and resolving challenges with professionalism and care.
- Support service flow by collaborating closely with fellow Captains, servers, runners, bartenders, and kitchen teams.
- Lead by example during busy services, helping elevate the performance and confidence of those around you.
- Uphold the highest standards of hospitality, cleanliness, presentation, and operational excellence.
- Contribute to developing newer team members through coaching, mentorship, and sharing best practices.

We will provide...

- Competitive hourly pay.
- A fun, ambitious, and multilingual team.
- Employee discounts at POPL, Barr, and Hart Bageri.
- Opportunities for professional growth and leadership development within the Sanchez group.
- A workplace that values hospitality professionals who bring curiosity, initiative, and a passion for continuous improvement.

You are probably...

- An accomplished hospitality professional with several years of experience in fine dining, Michelin-recognized, or luxury hospitality environments.
- Comfortable leading a section independently while contributing to the overall success of the dining room.
- Knowledgeable about wine, spirits, and beverage service, with formal wine education or sommelier certification considered a strong advantage.
- Passionate about creating exceptional guest experiences through genuine hospitality rather than scripted service.
- Calm, organized, and composed under pressure, with the ability to make thoughtful decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- Naturally collaborative, taking pride in supporting teammates while maintaining high standards.
- Curious about Mexican cuisine, culture, and the opportunity to deepen your understanding of our food and beverage philosophy.
- Someone who loves hospitality as a profession and is excited to contribute to a restaurant that values both excellence and personal growth.

We look forward to welcoming an experienced hospitality professional who shares our passion for service, teamwork, and creating unforgettable dining experiences.
