Reporting to the   Industrial Sales Manager , the   Field Sales Engineer   is responsible for   developing and growing a portfolio of industrial customers across the Normandy region — from securing and expanding existing accounts to   identifying   new opportunities where   we've   lost ground.   You'll   work across a genuinely varied customer base (food & dairy, chemical, and industrial engineering/service companies), bringing technical credibility to conversations with environmental managers, process engineers, utilities   leads , and maintenance teams. Few sales roles offer this   much   variety: every site brings a different water challenge, and every week looks a little different.

This position is part of the   Industry Field Sales   team,   located   in   Normandy, France   and will be remote (home office based).

In this role, a typical day will look like:

- Grow and   retain   your portfolio of industrial accounts across Normandy, strengthening existing relationships while creating new growth opportunities.

- Spend the middle of your week in the field (Tuesday to Thursday) meeting customers, with Monday and Friday afternoons dedicated to preparing appointments, following up on opportunities, drawing up quotes, and updating   Salesforce. Diagnosing   customer challenges around water management, treatment, and analysis, and building the right technical and commercial solution with them.

- Partnering closely with Hach's technical, support, and service teams to deliver on customer projects.

- Keeping a disciplined, up-to-date record of your opportunities and account activity in Salesforce.

- Contributing to the region's growth targets alongside your manager and the wider field sales team.

The essential requirements of the job include:

- Master's-level degree (Bac+5) or   Bachelor's   degree in a scientific or technical field, or equivalent technical experience (e.g., in selling or working with technical/industrial equipment).

- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in a technical, industrial, or commercial field role.

- Fluent French (spoken and written), including technical vocabulary.

- Valid driver's license, with the ability to travel extensively across the Normandy region

- This role is particularly well-suited to candidates with experience in the water industry, gained at a plant operator, an industrial company, an engineering/design firm, a systems integrator, or an engineering consultancy. Speaking the language of the water cycle, and understanding operational challenges and plant/site constraints, is a genuine advantage for building credibility quickly with our customers.

Hach is proud to   part   of the Water Quality segment of   Veralto   (NYSE: VLTO), a $5B global leader dedicated to ensuring access to clean water, safe food and medicine, and trusted essential goods.
