Software Engineer

Key Requirements:

- Develops software and firmware source code in C/C++, Embedded C, and other languages.

- Designs, develops, documents, tests, debugs, and implements embedded software and systems.

- Technical knowledge of common communication interfaces like SPI, I2C, USB, UART, and others.

- Utilizes version control, simulation, debugging, and other development tools.

- Strong problem-solving skills.

- Excellent attention to detail.

- Ability to read electronic schematics.

- Positive, can-do attitude.

- Great communication, teamwork and documentation skills.

- Collaborates cross functionally with hardware engineers.

- Provides engineering support for testing, deployment, and updates.

Additional preferred skills/experience:

- Airborne software development experience using DO-178C.

- Requirements capture using DOORS.

- Experience developing support applications using C/C++, or C# .NET with Visual Studio.

- Microsoft Excel development experience using VBA.

- Demonstrated ability and willingness to use AI tools to improve productivity, decision-making, work quality, and to reduce costs. The successful candidate must be able to identify appropriate AI use cases and critically evaluate AI-generated outputs.

Minimum Qualifications:

- BS in Computer Engineering, BS in Computer Science or BS in Electrical Engineering or a combination of education and work experience.

- 5-7 years of Embedded Systems or Windows programming experience.
