Join our dedicated team at Surfside Laundry in Foley, AL, as a Laundry Production Shift team member. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring that our laundry operations run smoothly and efficiently during the evening hours. You will be responsible for handling, processing, and preparing a variety of laundry items with care and attention to detail, contributing to our overall goal of delivering clean, high-quality linens and laundry services to our valued customers.
Responsibilities
- Operate industrial laundry equipment, including washers, dryers, and folding machines, to process large volumes of laundry with precision and safety.
- Sort laundry items by type, color, and fabric to prevent damage and ensure optimal cleaning results.
- Inspect linens for stains, tears, or damage and ensure items are properly cleaned and repaired if necessary.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to comply with health and safety standards.
- Collaborate with other team members and supervisors to meet daily production goals and deadlines.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or concerns to the maintenance team promptly to minimize downtime.
- Follow all company policies and procedures, including safety protocols and quality control measures.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a laundry or production environment is preferred but not required; we provide comprehensive training for the right candidate.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy loads up to 50 pounds safely.
- Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and quality.
- Basic understanding of operating machinery and following safety guidelines.
- Reliable availability for the second shift hours, showing punctuality and strong work ethic.
- Good communication skills and ability to work well within a team-oriented environment.
