Staff Accountant

About the Role: 
Join SERVPRO of Douglasville/Carrollton/Troup-Coweta Counties as a Staff Accountant and play a vital role in managing our financial operations. We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to help maintain our commitment to exceptional service and integrity in the restoration industry.

Responsibilities: 
• Prepare and maintain financial statements and reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable, processing invoices and payments efficiently.
• Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts on a monthly basis.
• Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes to support business planning.
• Conduct financial analysis to identify trends and recommend improvements.
• Ensure timely tax filings and compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights and support.
• Utilize accounting software and tools to streamline processes and improve efficiency.

Requirements:
 
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in accounting or finance roles, preferably in a service industry.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Strong organizational and time management abilities to meet deadlines.
• Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Professional demeanor and commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
