About this role

A 5-star luxury hotel is seeking an experienced Team Leader – Lobby Lounge to support the daily operations of a luxury lobby lounge and ensure a refined, welcoming, and seamless guest experience. The ideal candidate will have strong Food & Beverage service experience, excellent guest interaction skills, and the ability to lead the team during daily operations.

Responsibilities

- Support the daily operations of the Lobby Lounge, ensuring smooth service flow and consistent luxury service standards

- Supervise, guide, and motivate the service team during shifts

- Ensure guests are warmly welcomed, seated, and attended to in a professional and timely manner

- Monitor table setup, cleanliness, ambience, menu presentation, and overall lounge readiness

- Ensure accurate order-taking, proper service sequence, and elegant food and beverage presentation

- Handle guest requests, feedback, and minor complaints professionally and promptly

- Assist with staff briefings, duty allocation, grooming checks, and on-the-job training

- Coordinate closely with the kitchen, bar, stewarding, housekeeping, and front office teams

- Support upselling initiatives and promote lounge offerings, including beverages, afternoon tea, desserts, and light meals

- Monitor stock levels, operating supplies, equipment, breakage, and wastage

- Ensure compliance with hygiene, food safety, health, safety, and hotel operating standards

- Assist the Outlet Manager or Assistant Outlet Manager with reports, schedules, and operational follow-up

- Step in to lead the shift in the absence of senior outlet management

Requirements

- Minimum 2–4 years of Food & Beverage service experience, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or team leader role

- Prior experience in a 5-star or luxury hotel environment is strongly preferred

- Experience in lobby lounge, caf, afternoon tea, or all-day dining operations is an advantage

- Strong knowledge of luxury service standards, sequence of service, and guest engagement

- Good understanding of beverage service, coffee, tea, desserts, and light meal offerings

- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills

- Guest-focused, presentable, detail-oriented, and service-driven

- Fluent in English; additional languages are an advantage

- Flexible to work rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays

- Familiarity with POS systems and basic outlet operations is preferred
