Dynamic Logistics Services (DLS) is seeking a motivated and driven  Freight Broker  to join our growing brokerage team in Granite City,  IL  and Hazelwood,  MO .

In this role, you will be responsible for  bidding on freight,   sourcing capacity, negotiating freight rates, and building long-term relationships with both customers and carrier partners. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced logistics environment, enjoys building relationships, and has a strong drive to solve problems and close deals.

Key Responsibilities

- Source and develop relationships with carrier partners across the country

- Negotiate competitive freight rates while maximizing profitability

- Cover customer freight by securing reliable carrier capacity

- Track and trace shipments to ensure on-time pickup and delivery

- Communicate regularly with carriers, drivers, and internal teams

- Schedule pickup and delivery appointments as needed

- Provide shipment updates and resolve service issues quickly

- Maintain accurate load and carrier information in company systems

- Manage and grow a portfolio of carrier partners

- Provide exceptional service to both internal and external customers

Required Qualifications

- Minimum 2 year of experience in freight brokerage/3PL space.

- Experience bidding on freight

- Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills

- Ability to manage multiple shipments in a fast-paced environment

- Highly organized with strong attention to detail

- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills

- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)

- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines

- Experience with transportation management systems (TMS)

- Established carrier network relationships

- Experience with truckload freight, both dry and refrigerated.
