About this role
The Class A Truck Driver will transport grain, flour, and other materials for our customers locally. This position is primarily responsible for providing Class A driving support to our local flour mill, requiring compliance with all DOT and Company Safety Regulations.
- $28.56/hr
- Working Hours of 6pm-6am
- Rotating Schedule of 2 on/2 off, 3 on/2 off, and 2 on/3 off.
- Enjoy having every other weekend off!
- Home daily completing yard moves, local deliveries, rail transfers, and sanitizing pneumatic trailers
- Begin and end your day in Richmond, Utah
CDL TRUCK DRIVER RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Complete Local pick ups and deliveries
- Move trailers away from the dock, and place empty trailers for preloading
- Move loaded and empty trailers around the property at customers direction
- Stage trailers at the customer to be unloaded
- Load/Unload freight or assist in the loading/unloading of freight, if required.
- Transfer materials from railcars to trailers
- Confirm accuracy of BOLs, Seals and trailer numbers
- Assist in moving equipment into and out of the wash facilities
- Aid in the Sanitization of Pneumatic Trailers
- Travel equipment to local facilities for services
- Use an Electronic Logging Device to maintain your Hours of Service
- Complete daily pre and post trips inspections, including preventative maintenance
- Constantly communicate with Supervisor and Customer Manager to meet needs timely
- Ensure compliance with all Company, Local, State and Federal regulations
- Ensure all equipment is clean and in good working condition
- Must be professional and courteous to customers and fellow employees
- Be on-time, making customer service a priority
- Must be punctual.
- Ability to work in all weather conditions
- Other tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
CDL TRUCK DRIVER QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must have Class A verifiable Tractor-Trailer experience in last 5 years
- Working knowledge of Van, Pneumatic, and Hopper trailers preferred.
- Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions in English.
- Ability to read, interpret, and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies and/or procedures.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Climbing into and out of tractors, and on top of trailers
- Cranking of landing gear
- Lifting, as needed
- Periods of sitting while operating a CMV
- Must be willing to work in all kinds of weather conditions
