About this role

US Heart and Vascular is in need of a PRN Registered Nurse to join our team at APEX Vascular in Lenoir City TN

Responsibilities & Duties:

- Conducts thorough assessments of patients health status, including obtaining medical histories, performing physical examinations, and evaluating vital signs.

- Develops and implements individualized care plans in collaboration with physicians and other healthcare providers.

- Monitors patient progress and adjust care plans as needed.

- Administers medications, vaccines, and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers.

- Monitors patients for adverse reactions and effectiveness of treatments.

- Performs and interprets diagnostic tests, such as blood draws, ECGs, and other relevant procedures.

- Assists with the preparation and coordination of any additional testing as needed.

- Provides education and counseling to patients and their families regarding health conditions, treatment plans, medication management, and lifestyle modifications.

- Maintains accurate and up-to-date patient records, including assessments, treatments, and progress notes; ensures documentation is compliant with clinic policies and regulatory standards.

- Coordinates care with other healthcare providers, including referrals to specialists, scheduling follow-up appointments, and managing patient care transitions.

- Adheres to infection control protocols and ensures a safe and clean environment for patients and staff.

- Maintains required certifications, licenses, registries and designations required for the role.

- Works collaboratively with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare team members to ensure comprehensive patient care.

- When position requires travel to/from other locations, ensures vehicles are operated and maintained in compliance with all safety, regulatory, and company requirement

- Performs other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

- Associate's degree in nursing.

- Bachelor's degree in nursing is preferred.

- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in the state of practice.

- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

- If the individual in the role will drive for work purposes, a current valid state drivers license and required minimum auto insurance coverage.
