POSITION: Welder/Fabricator
DAY SHIFT: Monday - Thursday, 6:30 am - 5:00 pm (OT Friday as needed)
PAY RATE: $21.65 - 24.00+ per hour (DOE) + Full Benefits Package
LOCATION: Huron, SD

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsible for the safe and efficient fabrication of steel products. The Welder I is an entry-level welding position, with all work being completed with close supervision.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND QUALITIES

- Able to perform simple flat and horizontal welds and flat groove welds.

- Able to Fit and weld subassemblies with tack or spot weld.

- Able to perform measurements within specified tolerances.

- Exhibit knowledge of material identification, equipment utilization and welding equipment set-up and maintenance.

- General knowledge of equipment and operations.

- Basic understanding of Weld symbols.

- Understand and follow oral and written directions.

- Ability to read a tape measure (imperial and metric).

- Ability to accept responsibility and account for his/her actions.

- Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly.

- Ability to be truthful and be seen as credible in the workplace.

- Ability to make decisions or take actions to solve a problem or reach a goal.

- The trait of being dependable and trustworthy.

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE

- High School diploma or GED preferred.

- 0-1 years of welding experience preferred.
