Job Description

What are the Key Deliverables in this role?

Financial Outcomes

- Reduction in waste % over and v/s previous year for Machine damage, Blend Loss/Gain.

- Implement shift level process improvements assigned to optimize operational efficiencies for increasing productivity per man hour and to reduce variable over heads

- Monitoring OEE to be with in specified norms

- Implementing opportunities for Unbudgeted Saving identified through process / operations excellence initiatives

Customer Service

- Ensuring FG readiness for shipping by executing shift level production plan without deviation.

- Reduction in customer/consumer complaints.

- Achieving targeted OTIF

- Take responsibility of shopfloor team and their accountability in the final product, its quality and the efficiency with which it is produced.

Internal Processes

- Monitor and control day‑to‑day production activities during assigned shifts.

- Ensure production targets, efficiency, and output quality are consistently achieved.

- Allocate manpower and oversee workflow to optimize productivity.

- Perform machine and process checks to ensure smooth functioning.

- Coordinate with Maintenance teams for breakdowns and preventive maintenance activities.

- Ensure production is delivered in full compliance with customer specifications.

- Ensure timely availability of raw materials for production.

- Record production data, consumption, and material movement in SAP.

- Issue/return materials, confirm production orders, and maintain accurate stock levels.

- Generate daily reports and production summaries.

- Ensure documentation compliance with internal and external audit requirements.

- Ensure adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), safety guidelines, and SOPs.

- Coordinate quality checks of raw materials, in‑process goods, and finished products.

- Report deviations, non‑conformities, and support corrective actions.

- Possess knowledge of CCP and HACCP principles relevant to production.

- Supervise shift in charges, operators and workers during the shift.

- Provide guidance and support to ensure efficient shift operations.

- Coordinate with Quality, Warehouse, Engineering, and Planning departments

Innovation and Learning

- Ensure Safety, Health, Hygiene, and other Food Safety compliances among the shift staff.

- Implementing and driving 5S/TPM/Kaizen projects and continual improvement plans in shop floor.

- Training of Work force and driving company initiatives at shopfloor level

- Timely & smooth execution of the R&D Trials/projects while coordinating with the internal and external stakeholders.

- Improvements in existing products – Process & Productivity.
