About this role
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Include:
- Takes parts orders by telephone
- Researches parts requested through effective and efficient use of Internet catalogues available through manufacturers
- Handles retail parts transactions with customers
- Follows procedures and processes for ordering, selling, delivering and handling parts returns
- Promotes manufacturer's brand parts to generate the highest revenues possible
- Learns about various machinery parts to provide the most accurate and timely service possible to customers needing parts
- Assists Parts Manager with inventory counts and annual inventory-taking
- Resolves customer complaints effectively, rarely resorting to complaint escalation to the Parts Manager
- Treats customers fairly, honestly, and ethically to demonstrate our commitment to superior customer service and ethical business practices
- Assists other employees with their daily tasks and procedures as time allows
- Maintains a neat and organized work area
- Communicates in a service-oriented, positive and professional manner and maintains a cool and calm demeanor at all times
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Associates Degree preferred
- Minimum 1+ years of experience with parts counter sales in the construction, agricultural or automotive industries required
- Strong electronic media search skills requires
- 1+ years of direct customer service experience required
- Computerized technology devices and Microsoft Office software proficiency required
- Valid commercial driver's license preferred or may be required to obtain within specified time period
- Ability to work overtime and weekends as needed
