The Role in Brief
The Interior Designer will possess the skills to be an integral part of the interior design effort through all phases of a project. This position requires the candidates to work with a team to develop solutions, create project designs, and participate in design charrettes. The Interior Designer will be responsible for tasks including programming, small to large-scale space planning, and must possess a working knowledge of interior construction detailing, interior specification coordination, and FF&E specifications. The ID will be responsible for preparing presentations, design drawings, and managing construction drawings as well as coordination of all trades related to interior building design.
Responsibilities:
- Provide design direction for projects assigned.
- Design & layout of floor plans and elevations from preliminary design through documents.
- Translations of site surveys into architectural site plans and floor plans
- Translation of sketched details, sections, and notes to working drawings
- Assist with construction administration submittals.
- Help maintain interiors library
Qualifications
Requirements:
- 2-5 years professional experience
- Proficiency in Revit and Adobe suite software
- Excellent graphic presentation skills
- Strong communication skills
- Knowledge of Building Codes
- Ability to multitask and self-manage time
- Professional degree in Interior Design
Strongly Preferred Requirements:
- Pursuit of NCIDQ and LEED accreditation
- Rendering experience with Enscape, Lumion or similar programs
- Professional experience in healthcare design
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Overtime may be required
Travel may be required
