About this role
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Perform complex diagnostics, repairs, and preventive maintenance on HVAC systems.
- Install new HVAC units and replacement parts according to specifications and safety guidelines.
- Monitor and maintain system performance to ensure compliance with SQDCM (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, Morale) metrics.
- Lead troubleshooting efforts and mentor junior technicians.
- Maintain accurate records using CMMS and ensure timely reporting of maintenance activities.
- Ensure compliance with HSE (Health, Safety, and Environmental) and FSQ (Food Safety and Quality) standards.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and energy efficiency programs.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Advanced knowledge of HVAC systems, controls, and diagnostics.
- Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Familiarity with CMMS and digital maintenance tracking tools.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Refrigeration R-410A Certification required.
- Journeyman’s License in Refrigeration or Pipe Fitting preferred.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Completion of a certified HVAC apprenticeship or technical training program.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in HVAC maintenance, with at least 2 years in a senior or lead role.
Working Conditions:
- Must be able to work in environments with exposure to temperature extremes, noise, and confined spaces.
- Requires physical activity including lifting, climbing, and standing for extended periods.
- May require overtime, weekend, or on-call shifts.
- Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is mandatory in designated areas.
