About this role
LPR International is seeking a compassionate and dependable Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to support a healthcare program in Clinton, Maryland. This position supports patients receiving HIV/AIDS clinical care and program services and works under the guidance and direction of a Registered Nurse.
What You'll Do
- Monitor patients throughout treatment and perform routine vital-sign checks.
- Monitor patients for medication side effects.
- Assist physicians and Registered Nurses with patient care.
- Support clinical services, including diagnostic evaluation and phlebotomy.
- Accurately and concisely document patient information.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and follow established clinical procedures.
- Follow infection-control and disease-prevention protocols.
- Provide limited front-desk support, including answering phones and checking in patients.
What We're Looking For
- Active LPN license
- Current CPR certification
- At least 1 year of related experience
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Compassionate and professional approach to patient care
- Ability to remain calm and effective in stressful situations
- Strong observational and documentation skills
- Ability to take direction and work collaboratively with physicians and nurses
- Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office
- Knowledge of Epic EMR and health data/informatics systems
Position Details
This is a 40-hour-per-week assignment located at the HAP Program - Dyer Clinic, 9314 Piscataway Road, Clinton, MD 20735. The schedule is 8:00 AM-4:30 PM, with an anticipated assignment through February 28
