- You’re a motivated student with a current 3.0 GPA or higher seeking a currently pursuing a degree in one of the following areas from an accredited college or university:
- Computer Information Systems, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Information Technology
- This is a paid, full-time, 11-week internship designed to give you real-world experience and meaningful exposure to the telecommunications industry in your chosen field.
- Internship program runs from May 26 through August 6, 2027.
- In addition to role-specific projects, you’ll take part in professional development sessions, networking opportunities, mentorship, and experiences that help you grow personally and professionally.

Responsibilities
What you can expect in this role
As a Spectrum intern, you’ll spend the summer working alongside two teams: your respective department and your intern cohort.
Department and team-focused projects account for about 80% of your schedule. You’ll spend the other 20% on internship experiences that include a kickoff conference, professional development sessions and networking activities, webinars, community service, cross-functional projects, and final presentations.
This experience is designed to help you explore your interests, expand your network, and leave with a deeper understanding of both your field and the impact of our business.
Internship responsibilities may include:
- The Network Tools & Automation team owns, develops and deploys Charter IP and Optical network automation standards. We architect the platform and the data design used to test, deploy and provide ongoing management of the network across the entire company.
- Create code artifacts supporting audit and remediation activities, provide scripting support to retrieve and process data from our own or other systems and evaluate new software designs in support of the network.
Qualifications
Required qualifications
- Must be a rising senior with an expected graduation date between December 2027 and May 2028
- Must be currently enrolled in an accredited College or University completing a bachelor’s degree
- Must have at least a 3.0 GPA or greater in current program
- Ability to travel locally to Spectrum intern development events and activities throughout the program
- Authorization to work in the U.S. without restrictions or need for future sponsorship
