About this role

Who We Are

SensorUp is integrated software for managing emissions and operations in oil and gas. SensorUp connects the data operators already have, such as sensors, satellite, aerial, SCADA, and field inspections, and turns them into managed workflows: prioritizing repairs, tracking mitigation, and producing audit-ready reporting for regulators.

Our Vision

We believe reducing emissions goes beyond regulatory reporting—it actively improves operations, reduces maintenance costs, and helps direct capital to the highest priorities when people are empowered with the right data. We are dedicated to making methane management make sense, transforming complex challenges into automated, repeatable, and profitable operational workflows that contribute to a cleaner, healthier planet.

The Role

As an Account Manager, you help manage a book of accounts within our Oil & Gas customer base, working closely with a Customer Success and Revenue team leadership. You are a reliable, customer-facing partner who translates our technical capabilities into practical value for the people using our platform day to day.

A member of the Revenue team, you support the post-sales account lifecycle: driving product adoption, preparing accounts for renewal, and surfacing expansion opportunities for the team to develop further. You'll partner with Product to support the growth Sales has landed, with your manager providing direction on strategy and escalations.

Your Impact

- Commercial Health: Support Net Revenue Retention (NRR) and Gross Revenue Retention (GRR) goals within your book of business.

- Account Expansion: Identify and qualify expansion opportunities by understanding what your customers are trying to solve next. Close straightforward expansions independently and partner with Revenue team leadership on larger, multi-stakeholder deals.

- Adoption: Drive day-to-day feature adoption, help customers move from "detection" toward "mitigation" of methane emissions.

- Stakeholder Alignment: Maintain a regular cadence with your day-to-day and management-level contacts. Prepare and run business reviews, partnering with the CRO for executive-level conversations.

- Renewal Support: Prepare account health reviews and renewal materials, flag at-risk accounts early so management can step in when needed.

- Time to Value: Support smooth handoffs from Sales and to Account Management and Implementation, helping new customers reach Day 1 readiness.

- Advocacy & Presence: Identify and develop reference-able customers and case study candidates, and maintain a consistent presence through regular check-ins and periodic on-site visits.

- Voice of the Customer (VoC): Capture signals from the field and bring them back to the CRO and Product leadership to inform roadmap priorities.

Your Experience

- 3+ years in Account Management or Customer Success in B2B SaaS, with hands-on experience running renewals and contributing to expansion opportunities.

- Some exposure to oil & gas operations and emissions or regulatory reporting (e.g., OGMP 2.0) is an advantage. We're happy to build this knowledge with you if you bring the right customer instincts.

- Comfort building relationships with operational and technical stakeholders.

- Ability to build a clear business case for continued investment in enterprise software and to work through standard procurement and renewal processes.

- Strong communication skills and the organizational habits needed to track a growing book of accounts with multiple stakeholders across each customer organization.

Who You Are

- A strategic thinker who is nimble and willing to drive change in a fast-paced startup environment.

- A technically fluent customer advocate who finds as much satisfaction in closing a deal as they do in solving a technical problem.

- A creative problem solver dedicated to helping the world's largest energy companies reach net-zero.
