Job Summary
Responsible for directing and planning the day-to-day operations of group benefits programs. Provides excellent customer service and designs quality benefits plans. Investigates new benefits programs, improves existing programs, and supervises and monitors benefits administration.

Essential Functions

- Serves as primary contact for plan vendors and third-party administrators.
- Evaluates and revises internal processes to reduce costs and increase efficiency
- Documents and maintains administrative procedures for assigned benefits processes.
- Ensures compliance with applicable government regulations. Ensure timeliness and accuracy of required reporting and fees.
- Maintains group benefit database and update payroll as necessary.
- Audits the accuracy and performance of functions performed by Total Rewards team, reporting any deficiencies or opportunities for improvement to the Manager, Benefits.
- Performs plan audits. Prepare, collect and organize data for actuarial assessments
- Submits annual filings, on time, to ensure regulatory compliance.
- Provides customer service support to internal and external customers.
- Develops communication tools to enhance understanding of the company’s benefit package.
- Develops knowledge articles to assist the Shared Services center operate efficiently.
- Provides ongoing training to Workforce Advisors and Consultants.
- Distributes legally required documents to team members
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Supervisory/Management Responsibilities

- This is a non-management job that will report to a supervisor, manager, director or executive.

Minimum Requirements

- Education - Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field of study.  Master's degree preferred.
- Experience - Four (4) years of experience in administering employee benefit programs. Experience in large organizations preferred.

In Lieu Of

- In lieu of education, individuals with prior benefits experience and benefits leadership experience may be considered, but obtainment of a bachelor's degree is strongly preferred.

Required Certifications, Registrations, Licenses

- SPHR, CEBS, GBA preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

- Advanced knowledge and proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite
- Effective at data conversion
- Workday knowledge preferred
- Benefit Administration System experience preferred
